On this amazing Hover Dam Tour, we travel to the top of the iconic Hover Dam, man’s largest monolithic accomplishment in the most adverse conditions.
While at the dam you’ll have ample time to explore both sides of the dam end to end and take in breathtaking views and amazing photo opportunities.
Hoover Dam is a hair raising 726.3 feet deep and not recommended for the faint of heart to peer over the edge.
After your visit and exploring Hoover Dam, you’ll also be taken to the Arizona side of the dam, a short 5-minute drive across the Dam.
On the Arizona side of the Dam, you’ll stand at an overlook on the eastern edge of the Black Canyon gorge for amazing views of the intake side of Hoover Dam.
Here you’ll experience fabulous views and photo opportunities of the infamous Dam’s huge towering turbine towers. The Dam is an huge arch sweeping across the Canyon from Nevada to Arizona.
You’ll also enjoy sweeping views of the Black Canyon, Colorado River, Lake Mead, the largest man-made lake in the US and the newly build Memorial Bridge that stands 900 feet above the river.
Before returning to Las Vegas we stop at a local park where herds of Big Horn Sheep often come down from the surrounding mountains to gather and graze on the sweet green grass.

Hoover Dam was built over the Black Canyon to hold back the waters of the Colorado River. The Dam stretches from Nevada to Arizona holding back the waters from Lake Mead one of the world’s largest man-made lakes.
Located on the Colorado River, Hoover Dam at the time of construction was twice as high as any other structure of its kind in the world. It is an outstanding achievement, nearly 100 years old, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design, and intricate construction, but also for its illustration of man’s outstanding ability to overcome the desert’s summer sun, the dangers of a treacherous river, and the extreme hazards of great heights on the canyon’s sheer walls.
