Lets face it, we all need to go see Hoover Dam, after all, if not for Hoover Dam, there would be no Las Vegas… and its well worth the time to visit.
You will have two hours to thoroughly explore Hoover Dam and visit the visitors museum & gift shop.
Not recommended for the faint of heart but If you have the courage take a peep over the edge of this mammoth structure from one of the observation towers. You will be amazed of the depth and size of this enormous structure and wonder how it could have been built with the technology of those times.
Hoover Dam is also known as Boulder Dam. When completed in 1935, it was both the world’s largest electric power producing facility and the world’s largest concrete structure.
During the tour you will be able to view the seventeen turbine- generators that generate a maximum of 2,074 megawatts of hydroelectric power. You’ll also see the Arizona spillway and the Arizona Look Out. 
While at the dam you will go on the Hoover Dam Powerplant tour, view the Arizona Spillway and Look Out. As always we will offer a unlimited supply of bottled water. Passengers who have a pacemaker will not be able to go inside the Hoover Dam due to the electromagnets in use inside. (Interior Access not available)
Limited wheel chair access. No suitcases or oversized backpacks allowed due to security at Hoover Dam.
Hiking or athletic walking shoes. Temperatures are cooler from October – February, so long pants and a warm jacket are appropriate March – September temperatures are warm where shorts, hats, and a light shirt are comfortable.
Large Luxury Motorcoach or small group Mini Motorcoach depending on group size.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Mr. Bill, our Tour guide to Hoover Dam last weekend. This was by far THE best tour guide experience. He was extremely knowledgable and interesting to listen too, and was just a super nice guy. The bus was nice and clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend Sweet Tours for any of your touring needs and just maybe you'll luck out and get Mr. Bill!
We booked a tour of the Hoover Dam from Las Vegas. The communication was kind of strange at first, and we weren't exactly sure when we were going to be picked up. But I was finally able to contact someone and confirmed that the pick up time at our hotel would be at 9AM. We were staying at the SLS (now the Sahara) and were picked up promptly at 9am, as promised. We were the first pickup, so we had our choice of seats. We stopped by several other hotels along the strip, but we were on the road by 9:40am. The driver/tour guide (Awesome Anthony) handed out ice cold bottled water to all of the guests at the last pickup stop before we left town. He also made sure to hand out cold bottled water at each additional stop along the way. We arrived at the Hoover Dam Lookout Point at 10:34 and we were able to spend about 20 minutes wandering around and taking photos. Shortly after that, Awesome Anthony drove us to the Hoover Dam visitor center, and purchased our tour passes for the tour of the dam's interior, where they explained how all of the technology worked. We had plenty of time to take the tour and walk across the dam, and then Awesome Anthony picked us up again at 1:15pm as promised. BONUS on this tour - not sure if it happens all the time, but Awesome Anthony made a slight detour on the way back to Vegas, and stopped at Hemenway Valley Park to give us all a chance to check out some desert bighorn sheep and get some awesome photos. This was an added treat, and totally unexpected. Bonus: we were the first to be dropped off, just like we were the first to be picked up. They seem to pickup and dropoff on the north end of the strip. We were dropped off at the north end of the strip by 2:20pm. Bus was clean, great air conditioning, plenty of cold water provided, and everything was on time. Sorry if I seem anal on the time pickups and drop offs, but some reviews I have read complained about the pickup times. I had no problems with this at all. I will DEFINITELY book through this tour company again if I am in town.
The Hoover Dam tour itself was very nice. Lots of good information and set up to learn a lot and take wonderful pictures.
