Following your lunch, it’s time to explore this wonder of nature practically unblemished by modern civilization. See the Great Thunderbird image nature created high in the mountains along with many other unusual formations.
Dramatic viewpoints and hikes. One of the most dramatic viewpoints of the Grand Canyon is at Guano Point, boasting stunning 360-degree views of the Canyon and what’s left of the $3.5 million aerial tramway system built in 1957.
Your journey begins at Guano Point on Highpoint Hike. This railingless trail delivers you to the remnants of a historic tram that stands today as a monument to man’s attempt to mine the canyon. The tram once stretched 8,800 feet across the canyon to a guano mine. As you gaze out across the expansive canyon, let thoughts of the brave souls who attempted to mine nitrogen-rich guano for fertilizer from the guano cave discovered in 1930 fill your mind. For 20 years, these miners rode the aerial tramway to cross the river spanning 7,500 feet with a vertical lift of 2,500 feet.
Visit the Indian Village and Shop
Discover the ways of the Hualapai People. Grand Canyon West is situated on the Hualapai reservation. During your visit, you can immerse yourself in Native American culture through dance, self-guided tours and shopping at Eagle Point. Lunch is included at Guano Point or at the Skywalk Cafe.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (10:00am – 3:00pm) at the outdoor amphitheater, sit back in a shady spot to enjoy the musical sounds and magical dances of the Hualapai Tribe.
Before you leave Eagle Point, stop into the gift shop that offers a variety of souvenirs from t-shirts and hats to handcrafted jewelry and weavings made by the Hualapai, Hopi and Mojave tribes. Take a piece of the Grand Canyon and the Hualapai culture home with you.

Took the West Rim Grand Canyon Tour with photo stop at the Hover Dam. Overall-a great experience. Tour was efficient, bus was clean & our driver was courteous & funny - thank you Awesome Anthony! Timely pickup from our Vegas hotel. Bus ride was comfortable & went fast with a bathroom stop each way. Light breakfast was provided (Banana, Benicia biscuits, muffins & orange juice). Bottled water also provided. Tour allowed 3 hours at the canyon including the skywalk & includes a lunch voucher. Your time at the canyon is unguided, but you don't need one & their are plenty of tribal staff available to answer questions. Totally worth it if you want to see the canyon while visiting Vegas.
We took this tour while in Vegas and it was great! Our driver, Anthony, kept us entertained the whole way there and provided a lot of historical info. The price was good for the west Grand Canyon tour, a stop at the Hoover Dam, a small breakfast, and a voucher for lunch. We also got convenience stops just in case you weren't comfortable going on the bus. It was a great experience! The helicopter was really cool.
Did the west rim canyon tour with Sweetours and it was great. The Grand Canyon was something i'v always wanted to see and take a helicopter tour into the canyon. maverick Helicopters did what was expected and beyond with landing at the bottom. The bus was comfortable and it did'nt take that long to get there.
Had an amazing time with Walter, our guide with Sweetours. The helicopter flight thru the Grand Canyon was truly incredible. It was a unique experience at the west rim.
