Enjoy panoramic views of all the major landmarks between Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon including Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the vast Mojave Desert before indulging in a champagne picnic in the canyon.
To start your experience off right, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in a stretch limousine* and bring you to our beautiful pre-flight lounge.
* Please note this is a shared limousine service with other Sundance passengers. Private limousines may be booked upon request for a nominal fee.
Enjoy music, narration, and pilot commentary of the major landmarks and history timed perfectly to your flight. And for our guests where English is not their first language, we offer extensive language options to make certain that everyone gets the most out of their experience.
Your flight will take you past the 726-ft.-high and 1,244-ft.-long Hoover Dam, a modern marvel of engineering. The dam took 3,250,000 cubic yards of concrete to construct – enough to pave a two-lane highway from San Francisco to New York.
Traverse the beautiful mountain and sandscapes of the Mojave Desert. The Mojave appears harsh and barren from a distance, but a closer look reveals a wide array of habitats–mountains, valleys, springs, forests and wetlands–that shelter an abundance of plant, fish and animal species.
Cross the shimmering teal blue waters and stunning sandstone shorelines of Lake Mead on your way to the Grand Canyon. Formed by the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the U.S. in terms of capacity, and the largest man-made lake in the U.S.
The lake is 112 miles long when full, has 759 miles of shoreline, and is 532 feet at its greatest depth. It is also home to thousands of desert plants and animals, adapted to survive where rain is scarce and temperatures can soar.
Follow the winding path of the mighty Colorado River into the Grand Canyon. The river is 1,450 miles long and has a flow of 800 million gallons of water per hour.
Soar through the powerful and inspiring landscape of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The canyon overwhelms your senses through its immense size and unique combinations of geologic color and erosional striations. This epic canyon is 277 river miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and a mile deep. Because of our close relationship with the Hualapai Tribe, we’re able to land down in the canyon where you can explore the landscape from the ground. This is the only area where landing is allowed in the canyon.
Toast your Grand Canyon adventure with a glass of bubbly in true Sundance style.
Enjoy a meal from your own personal picnic basket, while taking in the sights 3,200 feet below the rim of the canyon.
Fly over the famous Las Vegas Strip! Past the Stratosphere Tower, Caesars Palace and hope for a glimpse of the Bellagio’s fountains before spotting the skyline of New York-New York and the beam atop the Luxor pyramid. Experience the best way to view the Las Vegas Strip.
We’ll take you back to your hotel in style with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your Las Vegas trip!

If you are considering taking the tour JUST DO IT. Seriously this is one of the coolest things I've ever done. We moved our reservation from midday to morning and that was a fantastic choice because the airport wasn't to busy and it wasn't hot out. A limo picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the airport. While we waiting for our flight time there were giant table games to play like uno, Jenga and connect four which was a fun way to start the day. We took off on time and the flight itself was stunning. I've never been in a helicopter before sobthat was a cool experience on its own but seeing the strip, Hoover dam and the Grand Canyon from the sky was next level cool. They touch down in the canyon where you can have some champagne and a lil breakfast and take some breathtaking pictures and on the way back you get to fly over the strip! I honestly feel this was so worth it and hope to do it again soon.
If I could rate my experience with Sundance Helicopters with 100 stars I would! It was perfect from start to finish from the limo that picked us up at the hotel, to the friendly staff in the lobby. Our pilot Elijah was awesome!! Funny and attentive as we flew out to the Grand Canyon. When we landed he did admit we do not get a lot of time there, and gave us tips to maximize our time. They gave us a cute little lunch while we were there and I never felt rushed. Upon Returning to the airport, they had a nice gift shop where they had printed up pictures of us for purchase. Thank you guys for making this trip special for my husband and I! We will definitely be back, next time with our kids :)
I was a little doubtful after reading the reviews I thought nothing can be that great all the time. Well I was proven wrong. If u wanna get technical the limo was 5 min late 4 pick up. He dropped us off. We paid and watched training video and were on our way. I was impressed beyond belief!! It was a perfect trip from beginning to end. The pilot was cool and the music selection was awesome. The picnic was great too. Very satisfied and highly, highly recommend. Not many Americans do it per the crew. Mostly UK And Aussies. It is a very magical and unforgettable trip.
When we asked our exchange student in an initial email, "Where, in America, do you want to visit?" she immediately answered with, "Vegas!" And my husband and I cringed and cursed the heavens. But seeing as how we have pretty much the greatest exchange student ever, we couldn't disappoint so we booked a trip with another couple and headed out for Super Bowl weekend. At some point a few years before I had seen a Samantha Brown weekend getaway where she took a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. Kris and I were totally I to it so we asked our friends and they started salivating. We decided it would be a surprise for Naomi. I cannot stress enough how perfect of an experience we had. From booking it until it was over it was a dream. Sundance even got in on the surprise! We did the private tour that includes a limo ride from the hotel to the airport. My husband and I went out and talked to the driver who was game. The story we told Naomi was that our friend who was with us and finishing up a convention (we met him after) had to pick up an important client but agreed that Naomi could go in the limo. She was psyched and he kept her going, asking if we knew the tail # of the client's private jet and when we had to show ID he said it was security because of the safety of the client. We finally told her and she was very excited. After a safety/informational video we met our awesome pilot, Dave, and were off. The flight was so smooth and the commentary was great (including the music). It was perfectly timed with the scenery and when it wasn't on, Dave pointed out stuff along the way. After about 35 minutes the world dropped away and we were over the canyon... wow. Amazing. We landed on the floor and hopped out to enjoy morning in the Grand Canyon, which is like morning nowhere else. Dave gave us time to take pictures and then we enjoyed our champagne breakfast. After that it was more pictures before flying back. The return flight includes a flyover of the Vegas strip. Yes, it's pricey. But it is one of those things we will all remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Sundance, for such an amazing experience for Naomi and the rest of us!
Just spectacular. Go the All American tour and enjoy the ride. Stunning views, decent length of time and a return trip via limo. Excellent.
I booked Sundance's the "All American" Grand Canyon landing tour. My partner and I wanted to visit the canyon, but knowing it would be over 100 degrees out we knew we wouldn't last long outside. I read dozens of reviews on this tour (from multiple sites) and knew exactly what to expect. We didn't book for the lunch or champagne - we booked for the opportunity to land in the canyon and experience aerial views of Lake Mead, Hoover dam and (of course) the Canyon. What my partner didn't know, I was seeking the perfect proposal location. I received a confirmation call the day before our booked tour. The woman on the phone let us know what time and where the limo would pick us up and enforced to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking around the rocky canyon floor. The limo was waiting for us, promptly at the scheduled time.. We did share the 12 passenger Lincoln stretch with 8 other people. No complaints there and it was expected. Upon arrival to Sundance, we were checked in, weighed and given our "boarding pass" which was a name tag including your chopper number and pilot's name. The facility is beautiful with a small gift shop, several waiting areas and Native American crafts. Our pilot, Kyle, rounded up our group (6 travelers total). Brought us out to our helicopter where a picture is taken with you and your companion. Kyle then explained the seat belts, floatation packs and other safety essentials. Once loaded up he fired up the chopper and off we went. There was music in our headsets (a well chosen mix that does accompany each area you fly over) and prerecorded guide to provide history and info along the way. When we got to the Hoover Dam he positioned us on several angles to get pictures. Kyle also provided his own knowledge and pointed out other areas not included on the recording (a nice personal touch). Upon landing Kyle pointed out a good spot for pictures and exploring and let us know to be back at the covered tables for lunch in about 10 minutes. Our lunch was a sandwich, pasta salad, apples, water and champagne... sodas were also an option. We were given a few more minutes after for Kyle to pack up the picnic then instructed to meet at the helicopter for additional pictures. As Kyle was about to take pictures of my partner and I in front of the helicopter, I interrupted to grab the ring and take a knee... This was not prearranged with Sundance so I surprised him nearly as much as my partner. Kyle was awesome and took many photos of the moment and then posed us for more pictures. I think this delayed our time by a minute or two but he certainly didn't mention it - THANK YOU! We loaded back in the helicopter (by now, super sweaty from the triple degree temps). On the way back we flew over Fremont and the Strip. When we returned to Sundance, the photo we took before departure was printed and placed in a souvenir plaque... This was an optional purchase and of course we had to have it. We were then returned to our hotel by the same limo driver who picked us up. We could not have asked for a better experience. My fiancé will even admit that even without the proposal, it was a perfect tour. Thank you Sundance and especially, thank you Kyle!!
My husband and I took the Grand Canyon tour with our pilot Chris. Chris was AWESOME and was super friendly, professional, and funny. We were picked up exactly on time (down to the minute!) in a limo and went right to the Sundance facility. Although we waited a while there, they had board games and such so we kept busy. We watched the safety video and then met our pilot, Chris who went over all of the safety instructions again. He seated us all in, checked our seat belts and made sure we were all comfy. Once we took off, we had a fairly smooth ride with Chris narrating in addition to the pre-recorded narration (which is absolutely stupid and boring). Chris played some pretty sweet tunes and answered everyone's questions. Once we landed in the canyon, we took some pictures and ate some light snacks and champagne. On the way back, we saw the incredible sunset and it was truly breathtaking. We also flew over the strip which was already lit up. Although this was very expensive, I would definitely recommend that you do it! (My husband and I stayed in a cheaper hotel and ate on the cheap just so we could be able to take this tour and it was soooo worth it!) My only suggestion to the staff is to PLEASE change the automated narration. It is really bad and boring and takes away from the experience. Either just stick with the music or keep it to relevant facts about Las Vegas history and the canyon, not about all the animals that live in the dessert.
WOW!! I could end my review right there but that's not how I roll. What a great treat to our vacation. To see the Grand Canyon through a view from atop was amazing sight to see. Sundance does it right. Limo picks you up at your hotel, full instructions once you arrive at the airport as to what to expect. And what a great, knowledgeable and funny pilot (Fred). Smooth ride even though there were up to 30 mph winds. One lost of a star, first of all you really have to impress me for that 5th star and secondly the lunch they provided for the picnic time in the canyon was blah! Of course the food wasn't what we were there for but being a foodie I kinda expected it to be a just a pinch better. All and all a must do if you're into that kind of a tour.
Epic adventure! Highly recommend this tour, the service was impeccable from limo pick up,safety briefing and meeting our pilot. The flight was exhilarating, taking in all the awesome views. The highlight for me was landing in the Grand Canyon, being able to explore and the champagne breakfast! Returning via a spectacular flight over the strip and limo back to the hotel! Absolutely flawless! First class treatment all the way!!
4 of us went on the helicopter tour to the grand canyon..we got picked up in a limo from our hotel..we had a helicopter ride there going over the Hoover dam lake mead and seen some awesome sights ..when we got to the canyon we could tour all 3 reservations and visit the most amazing views ever..included in our package was a hot meal at 1 of the points of our choosing. The skywalk was also included but because of weather unfortunately we were unable to go on it.. on the way back we did a tour of the strip which was truly awesome before getting dropped off at our hotel in a limo again...our pilot Jake was awesome..he definitely made our trip..he was so easy to get along with he answered so so many of our questions and had a fantastic sense of humour..he definitely helped make this experience 1 of the best ever..we would definitely use Sundance again and we would highly recommend to friends and family
